Call for Submissions | FFQM–EUFEPS Pearl Award for Biopharmaceutics & Nanomedicine

We are pleased to announce the FFQM–EUFEPS Pearl Award for Biopharmaceutics & Nanomedicine, presented by the European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS) with the generous support of the FFQM Frankfurt Foundation Quality Medicines (FFQM).
The award recognises outstanding scientific achievements at the interface of:
🧬 Nanomedicine
💊 Biopharmaceutics
🔬 Advanced drug delivery
⚕️ Innovative pharmaceutical technologies
We particularly welcome research that bridges fundamental pharmaceutical sciences with the development and evaluation of innovative medicines, including novel drug delivery systems and nanomedicines.
🏆 The award recognises research demonstrating:
• Scientific excellence and quality
• Originality and innovation
• Scientific significance
• Relevance to nanomedicine and/or biopharmaceutics
• Potential impact on pharmaceutical R&D
• Translational relevance
• Potential contribution to improved medicines
👩‍🔬 Who can apply?
Scientists from academia, industry, research institutions and other organisations working in pharmaceutical sciences, nanomedicine, biopharmaceutics or related disciplines. Self-nominations are welcome, as are nominations of outstanding work by colleagues or research groups.
📄 Applications should be based on peer-reviewed publications or meaningful summaries of research projects published within the last three years at the time of submission.
💶 Prize: €2,000 + official award certificate

The award will be presented during the EUFEPS Annual Conference 2027 in Krakow, Poland, 19–21 May 2027.
