Web server logs

In principle, you can visit our website without telling us who you are. As is usual with almost all websites, the server on which our website is located (hereinafter referred to as „web server“) automatically collects information from you when you visit us on the internet.

The web server automatically recognizes certain personal data such as your IP address, the date and time at which you are on our website, the pages you have visited on our website, the website you were on before, the browser you used (e.g. internet explorer), the operating system you are using (e.g. Windows XP) and the domain name and address of your internet provider (e.g. Telekom). If our website uses cookies (as explained below), the web server also stores this information.

We do not evaluate these server logs. However, in the event of a system abuse, we can use this information in cooperation with your internet provider and / or local authorities to determine the originator of this abuse.

Data transfer and use of contact details

In case you contact us (for example by email), your details will be stored for the purpose of processing the request and in the event that follow-up questions arise.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) has security gaps and cannot be completely protected against access by third parties. This means that there is a risk of third parties gaining access to the transferred data and their use. You can also contact us at any time by letter post or telephone.

Handling of personal data

Personal data is information that can be used to identify a person, i.e. information that can be directly assigned to a person. This includes the name, email address or phone number. But also data about preferences, hobbies, memberships or which websites were viewed by someone count as personal data.

You can visit our website without providing personal data. We only collect data from you (except in the context of web server logs) if you provide it to us yourself in order to use our services. These data are then processed and / or used exclusively to carry out the respective service. Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties.

If a contractual relationship is to be established, structured or changed between you and us, or if you send us an inquiry, we will collect and use personal data from you insofar as this is necessary for this purpose of the contract (inventory data). We process personal data as far as this is necessary to enable you to use the website (usage data).

All personal data will only be stored for as long as is necessary for the stated purpose. In doing so, retention periods under tax and commercial law are taken into account. Your data will not be passed on to third parties unless it is required by law.

By order of the competent authorities, we may provide information about these (inventory) data in individual cases, insofar as this is necessary for purposes of criminal prosecution, to avert danger, to fulfill the legal tasks of the constitutional protection authorities or the military counter-intelligence service or to enforce intellectual property rights.

Links to other websites

This website also contains links to other websites. However, the data protection declaration described here does not apply to these other websites. We ask you to visit these websites directly for information about data protection, security, the collection of data and the regulations for the transfer of data. The Frankfurt Foundation Quality of Medicines cannot be held liable for any measures taken from these websites or for their content.

Integration of services and content from third parties

It can happen that third party’s content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are integrated into our website. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) can access the IP address of the user. Without the IP address, you would not be able to send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. We strive to only use content whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. However, we have no influence on whether the third-party provider stores the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes, or if this data is passed on to offices in other European and non-European countries. This transfer and storage of data in non-European countries may be subject to lower data protection standards than within the EU.

Cookies

On some of our pages we use so-called „session cookies“ to make it easier for you to use our website. These are small text files that are only stored on your hard drive for the duration of your visit to our website and, depending on the setting of your browser program, are deleted when you exit the browser. These cookies do not retrieve any information about you stored on your hard drive and do not affect your PC or your files. Most browsers are set in a way that they automatically accept cookies. However, you can deactivate the storage of cookies or set your browser in a way that it will notify you when cookies are being sent.

Revocation, modifications, corrections and updates

You have the right to request, free of charge, information about the personal data that has been stored about you. In addition, you have the right to correct incorrect data, the right to restrict processing („blocking“) or to object to processing, the right to data portability and the right to delete your personal data, provided that there is no statutory retention requirement.
